Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC and Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC announce their 2010 schedule for the new Bendix Brake Training School. Again in 2010, the school will combine the Bendix Air Brake and Foundation Brake Training Schools into one complete training session. This course is tailored to new and experienced technicians.
Bendix Brake Training School
The Bendix Brake Training School features a curriculum that includes the fundamentals of compressed air; tactics for air system failure mode diagnosis and troubleshooting; and air brake system and foundation brake components, including air compressors, valves, foundation drum brake and air disc brakes, slack adjusters, brake chambers, shoes and drums. Conducted by the veteran ASE-certified Bendix team, this all-inclusive course incorporates description, operation, and service elements for the total range of components found within dual air brake systems.
Additional topics covered include antilock braking systems (ABS) and stability technologies such as Bendix® ESP®. Various class exercises with hands-on activities are provided, and participants receive a comprehensive workbook.
In addition to classroom lectures, product cutaways and visual aids are incorporated to demonstrate the components and related systems in each training class. All locations feature operational demonstration boards.
The Bendix Brake Training School costs $250 (U.S.) per attendee. All course materials are provided. Lunch is included when the class meets for a full day (7 hours or more); however, transportation and lodging are the responsibility of the student. The dress code is casual. Payment is made by credit card only and is non-refundable unless cancelled 30 days in advance of the applicable class starting date. If a class is cancelled, a full refund will be issued for the class only. Reimbursement for other expenses is not covered.
