Bendix^® RDU

The Bendix^® RDU offers a visual indication of Antilock Braking System (ABS) component Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) information. The RDU can be used on Bendix^® Antiliock Braking System (ABS)-equipped semi-tractors, straight trucks, coaches, and buses. Additionally, the RDU provides a method for clearing the ABS component DTCs from Bendix ABS controllers and allows the technician to self-configure the ABS Electronic Control Unit (ECU) on Bendix^® EC-17^™, EC-30^™, EC-60^™, and EC-80^™ ABS controller ECUs.

The RDU is specifically designed for use with Bendix ABS and Bendix makes no claims for its operation and/or usability with other brands of ABS systems.

Bendix^® TRDU^™

The Bendix^® TRDU^™ is a diagnostic tool providing the technician with a visual indication of component DTC information from Bendix^® ABS for trailers. The TRDU communicates across PLC4Trucks supporting common diagnostic messages. Additionally, the Bendix TRDU provides odometer mileage readout, a method for clearing the ABS component DTCs, and allows the user to self-configure the ABS ECU configuration on Bendix^® TABS-6^™ and MC-30^™ with PLC ECUs. It will also clear most A‑18^™ ABS with PLC ECUs (in this case, certain sensor DTCs require the vehicle to be driven).

The TRDU unit is specifically designed for use with Bendix ABS, and although Bendix has included some competitive support, based on reading some standard diagnostic messages, Bendix makes no claims for its operation and/or usability with other brands of ABS systems.

Diagnostic Harnesses: Bendix adaptor cables, extension cables, wiring harnesses, and trailer cables allow the technician some flexibility to connect to RDUs, TRDUs, TABS (trailer ABS), and other Bendix diagnostic tools and products. With different sizes, lengths, and configurations available, technicians can usually find the right Bendix harness for the job.
